Mr. Scheper is one of Ohio’s most experienced civil trial lawyers. He has acted as lead counsel in approximately 375 jury trials in areas of legal, medical and dental malpractice; hospital liability claims; wrongful death actions; automobile accidents; products liability; premise liability; defamation; construction and building litigation; direct actions against insurance companies; bad faith claims; property damage suits; breach of contract actions; and actions against public officials. He has been listed as an Ohio Super Lawyer every year since 2004. Mr. Scheper has also been listed in the annual edition of Best Lawyers in America every year since 2004.

Mr. Scheper is a member in the invitational organizations of the American College of Trial Lawyers, American Board of Trial Advocates, International Association of Defense Counsel and the National Defense Research Institute. He also is the co-author of Medical Malpractice Risk Management published by the American College of Physician Executives. Mr. Scheper is married to his high school sweetheart, Joyce Bouck Scheper, and has three children and also three grandchildren.
